2100 calories, 84 gm prot, 2 gm Na⁺, 2 gm K⁺

3.  84 gm prot x 0.7 HBV = 59 gm HBV prot

4.          Drink milk? Yes = 4 gm

59 – 4 = 55 gm – 7 (gm/oz) = 8 oz meat/exchanges

5.          84 – 60 = 24 gms protein left

look at diet recall to determine fruit & veg:

fruit – 2(0.5) = 1 gm

veg – 2(1) = 2 gm

subtotal = 3

starch (24-3=21 gm – 2) = 11 exchanges
